The McKenzie Institute® Conferences

An Extraordinary Opportunity Upcoming Conferences

As an adjunct opportunity to enhance the training and certification provided in the standard educational programming, The McKenzie Institute® holds an Annual McKenzie Conference.

These events provide clinicians with the extraordinary opportunity for an annual resource to network with other McKenzie and spine enthusiasts from around the world. The programs are organized to present the most current information from the scientific and clinical arenas that directly support or compliment the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®.

Each odd year hosts The McKenzie Institute® International Conference. The curriculum heavily focuses on speakers who often include influential figures or researchers who have become interested in investigating Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® or those we wish to expose to the McKenzie system. They may have different points of view or may cover different aspects of the topic to show how it can integrate with McKenzie principles; and it is this healthy debate amongst a panel that is very stimulating to the audience.

The even years provide regional branches the opportunity to more specifically support their constituents. Currently, The McKenzie Conference of the Americas (McKCotA) representing Brazil, Canada, and the United States is the primary public event. These events allow for a greater balance of hands-on workshops, lectures, panels, demonstrations, and case presentations encourage a productive, and often stimulating, exchange between instructors and participants.

While the majority of participants are certified in McKenzie or in the process of their training through the Institute, we welcome those with a peaked interest in the system of care for the spine and extremities. Conferences explore a broader array of topics and address why the method is so clinically effective and what evidence the scientific community has generated to support its efficacy. There is always ample time to interact personally with an internationally renowned faculty of spine experts and catch up with old friends and colleagues.
